Fifteen persons were elected to various boards, committees and offices, but not before a little excitement when the sole nomination of the long-time Secretary of the Diocese, Kay Shields Wilkinson, was challenged from the floor--for the first time, at least in memory.
The challenge was based purely on parliamentary procedures, which had just before been approved by convention. Therule in question requires that each elected office have more than

nominee. The matter, however, was quickly resolved when the challenger, the Rev. Mitch Bojarkski, placed and then immediately withdrew his name in nomination.
