11 EFM mentors are trained in diocese

by The Rev. Rose Bogal-Allbritten, EFM coordinator

Eleven individuals from across the Diocese of Kentucky participated in Education for Ministry (EFM) mentor training at All Saints’ Conference Center this summer.

Portrait of the recently trained EFM mentorsBetween July 10 and 12, group members spent 18 hours developing skills for leading a theological reflection, a method that helps EFM seminar members to think theologically, integrating their own beliefs and their relationship to culture and tradition in order to further develop their ministry as Christians.

A person who wishes to become an EFM mentor must attend a training session and be accredited as a mentor. Mentors must renew their accreditation every 18 months by attending training to remain active. For more information about EFM, please contact the Rev. Rose Bogal-Allbritten, EFM diocesan coordinator, at rose.bogal@att.net or (270) 293-9490.
