Loading...The Advance Reports, which were once mailed to all clergy and deputies prior to a diocesan convention, are now posted on the diocese's website, and information about additional hotel options has been posted. The 184th Convention of the Diocese of Kentucky will be held Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 2233 Woodbourne Ave., Louisville.
The new convention postings include this year's agenda; the proposed 2012 diocesan budget; profiles of the nominees for diocesan offices; and the annual reports of diocesan departments, committees, commissions, and other diocesan entities and organizations with historic ties to the diocese. Some organizations are turning in the reports late, so the convention web site is being updated regularly with new information.
If you have problems
If you are new to downloading PDF documents from a website, you will need to have a PDF viewer installed on your computer. (We have provided a link on our convention page to "Get Adobe Reader," the standard, free viewer for PDF documents, for those who do not have this software). If you have the software and still are having difficulties viewing the files, you may want to check if the files were downloaded to your computer's download or saved attachments file. Also check the settings of your Internet browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc) and set it to enable your browser to open PDF files.
Registration
Registrations are still being accepted entirely online at //www.episcopalky.org/convention-registration.html although the deadline has passed. Get that regisrtration in as soon as possible lest you find the site has been shut down in order to set totals for food orders and other convention preparations.
Those who have previously registered online for diocesan events may find the registration form and process familiar. For those who have not done so, the registration form includes detailed instructions. However, those having difficulties in completing the form may contact Mary Jane Cherry, the diocese's communications director, for assistance. Hotel booked?
If you are planning to stay overnight and find that there is no room at the inn, Breckinridge Inn, that is, take heart.
