The 183rd Convention of the Diocese of Kentucky has gone seriously green today (Friday).
In lieu of mailing more than 200 bulky packets to convention participants, the diocesan office has published the annual pre-convention publication online, as of this afternoon. Not only have thousands of pages of paper been saved by going digital, but the diocese has saved an estimated $1,200 to $1,400 in production and mailing costs, according to the Rev. Canon Joan Smith.
Members of the clergy, lay deputies, other convention attendees and subscribers to our electronic newsletter are being sent links and instructions today in a special EpiscoBlast. As with any new enterprise, even with our best efforts to reach perfection in making dozens upon dozens of links to documents, glitches may occur. If you have difficulty in uploading a document or encounter faulty links, please let us know by emailing maryjane@episcopalky.org or calling 502-584-148 so we can help you obtain the convention material and any glitches that may occur.
