The Episcopal Church of the Ascension, 211 N. Third St., Bardstown will host the final Red Doors Concert on Sunday, Dec. 18.

A special service of Advent Lessons and Carols, beginning at 4 p.m. (EST), will include special music by "Young Men United," a local male quartet and students from the Music Institute of Bardstown, as well as offerings from Ascension vocalists and Music Director Hobert Humphrey.

The traditional service will include Scripture readings that foretell the birth of Christ, special music and congregational singing that announce His coming in song.

Light refreshments will be available after the formal concert, and all are invited to return to the sanctuary piano to join in caroling. "We want to provide a moment away from the hectic pace of the holiday season to simply enjoy singing Christmas carols with our friends," said Humphrey. The public is invited and encouraged to attend the free concert and caroling.
