Loading...Making the connections between environmental sustainability, social justice and spiritual fulfillment, an all-day symposium entitled "Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream" will be held Saturday, February 27, at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Louisville
The symposium, sponsored by Cultivating Connections and St. Matthew's Church's Green Team, will meet from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (ET) at the church at 330 N. Hubbards Lane. Donations are requested. Using group interactions, leading edge information and multimedia, the symposium seeks to inspire participants to reconnect with their deep concern for our world and to empower them to make a difference in the world. Participants will explore the current state of our planet from a new perspective and connect with a global movement to reclaim our future. During the sessions, participants will encounter the work and visions of some of the great visionaries of our times, including Van Jones, Annie Leonard, Julia Butterfly Hill, Brian Swimme, Desmond Tutu, Joanna Macy, John Robbins, Thich Nhat Hanh, Carl Anthony, Miriam MacGillis, Mary Evelyn Tucker, Matthew Fox, Lynne Twist, Al Gore and Paul Hawken.
