Loading...All Saints' summer camp staff can't seem to get enough of work or the great outdoors.
With no camp scheduled this week, eleven members of the camp staff plus their boss, Beth Bojarski, the diocese's youth and camp director, headed for western Kentucky this week to help construction of two Habitat homees.
The group spent Monday through Wednesday working on the homes in the Mayfield area under the supervision of Jack Hanstein, a St. John's Episcopal Church member who heads local Habitat program and is also the diocese's Jubilee Ministries officer. The counselors were joined on the projects by the Rev. Matt Bradley, priest-in-charge at St. John's, and the Rev. Rose Bogal-Allbritten, St. John's deacon, and St. John's parishioners. Bojarski said the counselors did interior painting in one home and prepared the other house for installing siding. The finished out their week off backpacking in the Land Between the Lakes area.
