The Episcopal Diocese of Kentucky is sponsoring a prayer walk in solidarity with a similar event taking place during the 78th General Convention of the Episcopal Church. This gathering is intended to urge people of faith to seek common ground on issues involving gun violence.
The event, called Claiming Common Ground Against Gun Violence, is a prayerful walk that will begin Sunday, June 28th, at 2pm outside of Christ Church Cathedral (421 S 2nd Street, Louisville, Kentucky, 40202).
The walk and prayer service will last around two hours and will cover .9 miles one way. The route is from Christ Church Cathedral to Our Merciful Saviour Episcopal Church (473 11th Street, Louisville, Kentucky, 40203). The prayerful assembly is sponsored in part by the Peace and Justice Division and the Urban Partnership Initiative of the Episcopal Diocese of Kentucy. We welcome all to join this peaceful event to pray for an end to gun violence in our community and across the nation.
