Loading...Pianist Sam Hodges will give a concert and a Choral Evensong Sunday at Christ Church Cathedral, 421 S. Second St., Louisville.
Hodges, a retired professor of piano from Georgetown College, will perform music by Haydn and Mendelssohn. He is known for his sensitive accompanying and dynamic solo performances in addition to being an accomplished composer. He is a member of Calvary Episcopal and a frequent accompanist here at the Cathedral.
Also Sunday, the Cathedral Choir, under the direction of Canon Robert L. Bozeman, will sing Choral Evensong with the Rev. Anne Vouga officiating this Sunday, Oct. 10. Music for the service will be by Crisafulli, Arnatt and Arcadelt. The choral anthems will be "Oculi Omnium" by Charles Wood and "The Last Words of David" by Randall Thompson.
The program begins at 5 p.m. (EDT).
