General Convention Deputies invite the clergy and lay members of the Diocese of Kentucky to join them for one of the Mutual Listening Sessions to be held this Thursday, June 11, in Louisville and Madisonville.

The Louisville session will meet from 5:30-6:45 p.m. (ET) at Church of the Advent, 901 Baxter Ave. (Those attending the session at Advent need to be aware that parking on the street is not permitted until 6 p.m., so prior to that time, parking is available at Mr. Transmission and Bader's Chevron & Food Mart on Baxter Avenue across from the church.)

At each session, several of the deputies will make a brief presentation about the legislative processes and issues coming before the 76th General Convention, which will meet in Anaheim, California July 8-18, 2009.

The Rev. Libby Wade, chair of the Kentucky deputation, says that the group genuinely wants to interact with as many of our diocesan brothers and sisters as possible before we leave from Anaheim, so at least half of the listening sessions will be devoted to questions and comments from those attending.
