Loading...Godly Play core training that had to be postponed at Christ Episcopal Church in Bowling Green earlier this year has been rescheduled for later this month.
Sessions will meet at the church at 1215 State Street from 5 to 9 p.m. (CDT) Thursday, June 23 (supper served), and from from 8:30 to 5 p.m. (CDT) Friday, June 24, and Saturday, June 25 (breakfast and lunch served both days). The specified meals are included in the registration fee.
Sharon Greeley, a Godly Play Foundation trainer, will lead the sessions, which will explore the fundamental foundations of a Godly Play classroom. Participants will develop teaching skills, learn how to build a classroom of their own, and leave spiritually refreshed. Prior experience with Godly Play is helpful but not absolutely necessary. Participants are asked to read Teaching Godly Play, How to Mentor the Spiritual Development of Children by Jerome W. Berryman before attending the training. A Godly Play Foundation teacher certificate will be awarded upon completion of the training.
