Loading...Donations are being accepted online and by mail for a retirement gift for Bishop Ted Gulick. It will be presented to him on Saturday, July 10, during a special worship service and diocesan gathering at All Saints Episcopal Conference Center on Rough River Lake near Leitchfield.
Celebrating Bishop Ted Gulick's 16 years of service to the Diocese of Kentucky, the Transition Committee will host a worship service and retirement luncheon on Saturday, July 10, at All Saints' Episcopal Conference Center on Rough River Lake near Leitchfield. (Gulick celebrated the 17th anniversary of his consecration as bishop on April 17.)
The transition committee, following his desire, has purchased a special, legacy gift on his behalf for the diocese: a modular 
cabin that will be located at the conference center for use by the new bishop and his family.
The celebration honoring Gulick will begin at noon with Eucharist, baptism and confirmation, followed by lunch and the presentation of the gift. All in the diocese are invited to attend.
Appeal for donations
The Transition Committee has sent out an appeal for donations to cover the cost of the cabin and site preparation, which will be about $50,000; establish a small maintenance fund for the cabin; and cover the cost of the reception. For the first time, donations to the diocese may be made online (look for the prominently displayed Donate button on the diocese's homepage at www.episcopalky.org). A message link on the donation page will allow online donors to note that the contribution is for the Bishop's retirement gift. Donors, if they prefer, may also send a check by mail. Checks, to be made out to Trustees and Council with “Bishop’s retirement gift” in the memo line, are to be mailed to Betty Blodgett, St. John’s Episcopal Church, 1620 W. Main St., Murray, KY 42071.
