In cooperation with Christ Church Cathedral, Interfaith Paths to Peace will launch Louisville's first ever Downtown Meditation Center on Tuesday, May 8, 2007.The Tuesday evening meditation practice will emphasize the teachings of the great religious and mystical traditions. There will be two silent, 20 minute periods of meditation separated by a period of walking meditation. Meditators may sit in a chair or on a Zabuton (flat cushion on the floor). It is suggested that if one chooses to sit on the floor they should bring their own Zafu (round meditation cushion to be placed on top of Zabuton). Meditators may sit for one or two periods as desired, but are asked to come and go quietly. Silence will be encouraged and instruction will be provided at 6:45 P.M. for those interested. The mediation monitors are Richard Sisto, Terry Taylor and Stuart Braune. The program is free, with donations welcomed!
