Meade County church helps local nonprofit

On Sept. 7, members from the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church (HTEC) in Brandenburg donated $1,127 to the Meade County Clothes Closet and Food Pantry, which lost everything this summer in a fire.

Holy Trinity members with director of Meade County clothes closet and food pantry“The Clothes Closet has about 10 to 15 core volunteers and about 100 volunteers throughout the year, but we can always use more volunteers,” said director Linda Whelan. 

The organization has had to relocate and replenish its stock of food and clothes since a fire on July 2 destroyed the shopping center building where it was located.
