Priest from New York City called as rector

The Rev. Jonathan M. Erdman, the curate and youth minister at St. Thomas Church Fifth Avenue in New York City, has been called as the new rector of Calvary Episcopal Church in Louisville. His first Sunday will be July 4.

Prior to joining St. Thomas Church four years ago, Erdman, 31, served parishes in Connecticut and Missouri as an intern and curate, respectively.

He is married to Andrea Erdman. They have a two-year old daughter, Sarah, and Andrea is expecting their second child in May. Both Jonathan and Andrea are natives of Missouri and graduates of the University of Missouri—Rolla. Andrea is a licensed clinical social worker. Jonathan was a magna cum laude graduate in psychology and earned a Master of Divinity at Yale University Divinity School and a diploma in Anglican Studies at Berkley Divinity School.
