Priests answer new calls

Two priests, one heading a parish in Louisville and the other in Bardstown, answered calls this fall taking them to churches in other dioceses.

The Rev. Larry Minter, rector of St. Peter’s Church in Louisville since July 2004, was called earlier this fall to serve as the fulltime interim rector of Church of the Ascension in Frankfort.

Minter left St. Peter’s in mid October to take the new position, but he was on hand when the congregation celebrated its 50th anniversary.

The Rev. Barbara Kirk-Norris, rector of Church of the Ascension in Bardstown, has accepted a call to serve as a rector for a congregation in the Diocese of West Texas. Her last day in Bardstown was Oct. 31.
