Loading...Tickets will soon be available for the annual style show and luncheon hosted by the Women's Board of the Episcopal Church Home. The luncheon is scheduled for April 15 at The Olmstead in Louisville.
The Episcopal Church Home, founded in 1881, is a non-profit nursing and memory care center serving residents of all faiths. The mission of the Episcopal Church Home is to enhance the quality of life for adults through a supportive Christian community by providing many levels of individual care. Many of our parishioners are residents of the Episcopal Church Home.
The Women's Board members volunteer throughout the year and provide services and funds geared toward enhancing daily life for the residents. Volunteer activities include staffing and managing the gift shop, delivering the daily mail to resident's rooms, and sponsoring and providing volunteer aid for activities such as sing-a-longs and special holiday parties.
Financially the Women's Board maintains a "Scholarship Fund" to help residents with necessities when personal funds are not available. The board has also purchased and equipped a bus with a wheel chair lift and updated the sound system in "Gheens Town Hall," the resident's large meeting and activity room.
