Registration underway for July conference

The 61st Sewanee Church Music Conference will be held Monday, July 11, through Sunday, July 17, 2011. Featured lecturers include Episcopal priest and author the Rev. Barbara Cawthorne Crafton and the Rev. Dr. Susanna Metz, director of the Center for Ministry in Small Churches at the University of the South's School of Theology.

Dubose Conference Center in Monteagle, Tenn.The conference annually brings 150 musicians and clergy from across the country to the DuBose Conference Center  in Monteagle, Tenn., and the University of the South in nearby Sewanee, Tenn.  

Also on the faculty are Dr. Dale Adelmann, canon for music with the Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta; Todd Wilson, chair of the organ department at the Cleveland Institute of Music and director of music and worship at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Cleveland; Richard Moore, director of music for St. Edward the Confessor Episcopal Church in Lawrenceville, Ga.; Susan Rupert, instructor of music at the University of the South's School of Theology; Dr. Marty Wheeler Burnett, director of fine arts at the College of St. Mary and director of music at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Omaha, Neb.; Dr. Bradley Almquist, director of choral activities at Murray State University; and Dr. Robert Delcamp, professor of music and university organist and choirmaster at the University of the South.
