Prevention is the best way to ensure a secure community, and the Church is offering its Safeguarding program online.
The Church Insurance Agency Corporation's Safeguarding Online program is the popular, interactive version of the Safeguarding risk management and education series currently covering child sexual misconduct in the Church.
The web interface allows users to work at their own pace, offering several interactive advantages to the more traditional face-to-face format. Almost 30,000 people in 46 dioceses have participated in the program and have provided overwhelmingly positive feedback. The Episcopal Diocese of Dallas is enjoying great success using Safeguarding Online. More than 2,000 participants have completed the Internet modules and are doing their part to keep their community safe.
