Loading...Please join the Peace and Justice Division of the Episcopal Diocese of Kentucky as we put hunger on the run in Kentuckiana and around the world. We are participating in the 2010 Hunger Walk on September 19 to raise money and awareness for Dare to Care Food Bank and The World Food Program.
The featured event, a 5K run and walk, will begin at 2:15 p.m. (EDT) but it is part of the Hunger Walk Festival, which runs from noon to 4:30 p.m. (EDT), at Waterfront Park in downtown Louisville.
With your help, Dare to Care provides food for more than 190,000 people in Kentuckiana. This year, more than 13 million pounds of food, including four million pounds of fresh produce, will be delivered to struggling families in our community.
Additionally, our support of the United Nations' World Food Program ensures that food gets to more than 90 million people in 73 countries.
