The story describes the devastation caused by "winter storms and massive power outages" on the Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation, and the assistance that is needed.
Many of us who weathered the ice storms in Kentucky last year are well acquainted with the hardships such a storm brings. Episcopal Relief and Development has earmarked funds to assist relief efforts there and North Dakota, but undoutedly the emergency response agency would welcome donations.
