Loading...Many of us have been wondering what exactly happened at General Convention. There were resolutions that garnered media attention, but so far a comprehensive report has been lacking.
Earlier this week the General Convention Office released their summary of the 77th General Convention. This document lays out the facts for each resolution but does so in a way that's easy to understand. If you want to read the exact wording of specific resolutions, you can find those on the General Convention Resolution Tracker page.
It also provides information about elections, officers and appointments on the church-wide level. Our own Rev. Canon Amy Coultas was elected to represent Province IV on the Joint Nominating Committee for the Election of the Presiding Bishop. A new Presiding Bishop will be chosen at the 2015 General Convention in Salt Lake City.
