Diocesan News & Publications

Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral joins the First Friday Trolley Hop experience this Friday, Sept. 4.

Enjoy a free wine and cheese reception for fiber artist, Marti Plager from 6 to 9 p.m. (ET). Plager, a Louisville native, has shown her work nationwide and internationally.

Her work includes representational and abstract pieces. Describing her techniques, Plager says, “I continue to be interested in surface design techniques, specifically screen printing with thickened dye or discharge agents to either add color or take color away. I still love to piece fabrics together. Adding the quilting stitches is a joy as these stitches provide additional color and texture.”

Drop by the Bishops’ Hall Gallery in the Cathedral’s Diocesan House at 425 S. Second St. for “CONNECTIONS.” The exhibit can also be seen through October 11 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Also visit //martiplager.com/
